A useful guide starts with clear sources.
We prioritize first-party information from the farm, market, store, organization, university or public agency responsible for a resource. Profiles include a source link and review date. Hours, seasonal availability and program details should be checked with the provider before a visit.
What our labels mean
- Certified organic: reserved for a current, reviewed certification source that identifies the relevant operation or products. No launch listing is assigned this label without that evidence.
- Grower-described practices: the grower explains its methods; we attribute the description and do not treat it as certification.
- Organic options: a shop documents some organic products. This does not label all inventory organic.
- Ask about organic options: current organic inventory needs confirmation from the provider.
- Ask individual vendors: a market brings together different producers. Product and growing-practice details vary.
- Community resource: a relevant food-access or sharing program, without a blanket organic claim.
- Growing & learning: a garden or educational resource with relevant food-growing information.

Editorial independence
A listing is informational, not a personal recommendation, inspection result or guarantee. We do not invent reviews, rankings, credentials or first-hand visits. If sponsored content or affiliate links are introduced, they must be visibly identified where they appear.
Suggestions and corrections
New suggestions and contributor edits require review. Claims need a relevant source. Personal contact details are not published from suggestion forms. Send a correction if information is missing or out of date.
